which is best…an ipod, a zune, or just another kind of mp3 player??

I've had an ipod mini and a standard ipod and they have completely broken a total of 5 times…I hear a lot of nice things about the zune, but is it better than the ipod? Or should I just find a player that isn't a household name? I don't want to fork over too much money either…and I primarily want to use it in the car when I hook it up to my stereo

zunes and ipods are about the same. zunes typically hold more, but are sometimes more expensive. it all depends on the type of stuff you like.

A zune because it can hold a lot of songs and it can play viedios and movies also it is a lot nicer than a ipod and does not break as easliy!

Hey! I was wondering the same thing, until my friend gave me an iPod nano for my b-day! It is amazing. Actually any type of iPods are good. Shuffles are the most inexpensive, but they still hold the same amount of songs as any other portable music device. If you're looking for an affordable, fun, and easy way to store all your music files, iPods are definetely good 4 that. Hope this helped.

The Zune. It is very durable and it lives up to all the nice things that have been said about it.

I have one and I prefer it to my other mp3 players. I have dropped mine numerous times on carpet and concrete. Ipods don't have radios ( i think ) and they don't hold near as much as a Zune. Besides if you don't use Limewire on an ipod you pay for your music. A zune from what I know you don't have to pay for any of your music/movies/pictures.

I have the 30gig Ipod. They're handy at the gym, but MP3 players are the best. Anytime apple makes something, MP3 companies make something better and it's easier to load music on without converting to MP4. I don't know much about Zune, but those use MP3's from what I know.

I have the Ipod and an older MP3 player which i've worked out in like a mad man and it's still holding up for 3 years now. mp3's are definitely better; it's just that Apple has more money to endorse with the fancy commercials and what not.

I use a 60G ipod but if all you want is 4G and want to keep the price down, the sansa® Fuze™ is the way to go. Great features and way cheaper than ipod.

Ipod Touch for sure. The zune you absolutely have to pay for music no matter what. The Ipod is way easier to download music to. The zune has horrible durablilty and there sound sucks man. Best thing to do is pick out a good apple MP3 or MP4 and buy a case and a 2 year contract for it. Your money will be well spent. If you buy a zune or something else trust me they will break A LOT faster; No quality in parts.

If you want a cheaper mp3, but one that still works really well, definitely don't buy an iPod. They are not worth the money at all, in my opinion. I've never had a Zune though, but I hear that it's a pretty good player. I would recommend going to circuitcity.com though, and looking at customer reviews of mp3 players, they're usually pretty accurate.
