Do what quikboy said to download the Zune software. What you download will depend on what OS you have. Vista has a 32 bit and a 64 bit so you will need to download the correct one for your computer. Even if you use a hack to make it so you can use WMP you will still need to have the Zune program installed.
Install the program and follow the on screen prompts. It will tell you everything you need to do. If this is the first time using this Zune then when you have finished setup leave it connected for about 3 hours. That is about how long it takes for it to completely charge the first time. You will know it is completely charged when the little battery icon in the bottom right corner is green.
