  Well assuming you're zune music are in Mp3 format, yes you dont have to convert them, all you need to do is save all your music in your hardrive, ( only if you dont store them) and just import them to your itunes library.

  unless zune music are in wma files then yes you would need to grab a wma to mp3 to convert them.

  The music you get with Zune Pass is only yours to keep if you buy them with Points. When the subscription expires so do those songs. You cannot burn them to a cd. To do anything else to try and keep that music is illegal. MIcrosoft has been using protective measures to keep people from being able to do what you want to do.

  As I know , the Zune market music has the DRM protection which avoid the customer play or convert the downloaded music with other incompatible devices.

  So if you want to play the protected music with other incompatible players (like iPod) and keep the music forever, you should remove the DRM with a specialized converter.
